Frame purses - shop update

As I recetly mentioned, I've sewn some more frame purses. All except two are made of little hexagons (got a crush on EPP last days ;) It's lots of work, it's extremely time consuming but I absolutely love the end effect.

Jak ostatnio pisalam, uszylam kilka nowych portmonetek z biglem. Wszystkie poza dwiema sa recznie szyte z hexagonow. Zajmuje to strasznie duzo czasu, ale efekt szalenie mi sie podoba:

Those are my three favourites. First made with scraps of olive green (Curio and Origins by BasicGrey), black/grey/white (Etchings by 3 Sisters, Wordplay by Benartex, Lost and Found by Riley Blake):

Moje trzy ulubione. Pierwsza szaro-oliwkowa (materialy: Curio i Origins od BasicGrey, Etchings od 3 Sisters, Wordplay od Benartex'u, Lost and Found od Riley Blake'a):

second in very delicate pastel colors (fabrics - Curio by BasicGrey):

druga pastelowo rozowa i niebieska (niezmiennie kojarzy mi sie z kolorami pudrowych pastylek z dziecinstwa; materialy - Curio od BasicGrey):

and third made with Oakshott Ruby Red cottons:

DaWanda Lovebook Winter 2012/2013 and shop update

My frame purse with Nature Walk fabric panel was chosen for this year's DaWanda Lovebook Winter 2012/2013! It's a little booklet promoting a certain amount of hand made goods found on DaWanda portal:

Moje portmonetka z biglem zostala wybrana do DaWanda Lovebook WInter 2012/2013! To zestawienie wybranych, recznie wykonanych produktow z portalu DaWanda. Pod linkiem znajduje sie plik pdf ksiazeczki z produktami wybranymi do tegorocznej zimowej edycji, a ja dostalam jeszcze do tego papierowa wersje. No i duza doze satysfakcji ;)

And as I had some frames left, I decided to make few more frame purses last week. They are available in my DaWanda SHOP:

A ze ramek ci u nas dostatek, to zrobilam ostatnio jeszcze kilka portmonetek. Wszystkie dostepne na DaWanda:

Zakka Style Sew Along :: Week 22 - Pleated Coin Purse

Welcome to my stop on the Zakka Style Sew Along!  You can find all the details about this SAL in THIS post.
I was very happy when I was asked to join the sew along and was assigned to make the Pleated Coine Purse, designed by Karyn Valino
The only problem which I had was the purse frame. You can buy an original Zakka Frame HERE, but for me, living in Germany, ordering one frame from Canada wasn't making much sense. Unfortunately I couldn't find any other frame (available here) which would fit with the shape and the size with the one needed in the project, so I adjusted the pattern to fit the frames which I had at home (tip for those living in EU - you can find a variety of purse frames on DaWanda, for example in THIS shop). The width of the frames which I had was the same as those required in the book, but the shape was different. Mine were more rectangular, but changing the pattern slightly wasn't difficult:

Dzis moja kolej w Zakka Style Sew Along.

I chose linen as exterior fabric. One with and one without a print. On the one with the print I embroidered three tiny lazy-dazy flowers with Cosmo Embroidery Floss. I also stitched the purse to the frame with the same thread. That was my first time with stitching the purse to the frame (before I used frames without sewing holes) and I have to say it's brilliant! It's so easy and fun :) that I will for sure use such frames more often:

Portmonetki uszylam z lnu. Ta sama mulina przyszylam portmonetke do bigla.

On the second purse I used plain linen. I added some tiny hexies and three rows of straight stitch on one of the pleats:

Na drugiej portmonetce naszylam malutkie hexagony i przeszylam zakladke sciegiem prostym zolta i niebieska mulina:

For both purses' intreriors I used aqua/mustard fabrics from Cut out and Keep collection by Cloud 9 (I think that's my all-time favourite fabric collection).
Making the purse was fast (excluding the time needed to adjust the pattern to my needs), fun and easy. The pattern gives lots of opportunities (you can fold the pleats differently, add some fancy purse frame, embelish the purse), but I'd say the instructions in the book fit more to those, who have a bit of experience with sewing purses with metal frames. If I would be a beginner, I would have difficulties to make it relying only on the instructions in the book, as there were no pictures/illustrations of the sewing process. Just plain text.

W obu portmonetkach na podszewki uzylam materialow z kolekcji Cut out and Keep  zaprojektowanych przez Cloud 9.

New felt coin purses

I just had mood to make few (or better to say finish those which I once started)... Those are not all which I made but last days the weather is so bad that it's almost impossible to make any photo...

All of these purses are now listed in my SHOP:

More metal frame purses

As I told you befroe, more will come ;) Nothing fancy, I still try to improve the technique. There are 3 bigger ones, with 10 cm frame and one smaller with 8 cm frame (the one with butterflies).
To be honest, I prefer the smaller one. It looks cuter ;) and somehow it's easier to attach the frame (for me).

Metal frame pouch in green

If you didn't sign up yet for the FQS sponsored giveaway you still have a chance till Friday 26th of August. Just go HERE and write a comment!

Today I've made my first metal frame pouch! I ordered few frames just to see if I would be able to create such a little purse and I did it! I have to say that it wasn't so easy to attach the frame, but the effect is really pleasant. More will come for sure!

Received Swap and embroidery sneek peak

Yesterday I received my swap table runner from Australia :D There is still no sun outside so the photos are not so good as I would like them to be. But ... I can't get anything better at the moment.

Look what a treasure I got:

I love the quilting surrounding the flowers:

And some embroidery sneek peak. I'm preparing the last set of felt coin purses (the last for some time for sure). I have so many ideas for the embroidery patterns on them, but finally I have to try to do somenthing else than just embroidery and coin purses.
I already started a new project, but I will tell you about it later :)

I tried something new for me - stitched ribbon flowers:

This one turns out to be really pretty (although I started to do it without any big expectations):

Beaded daisies. Quite cute :)

And a colour feast! The ribbon is the one which I won in Kitschy Pink challange ^.^

Some brambles:

Pink rulez o.O :

And something bigger... I do it in the meantime. It takes lots of my 'meantime'... I will update you with my work progress :)

Best wishes
