I finished preparing the Tarantula PP pattern and as Halloween comes really soon, I decided to pair it with a Jack O'Lantern PP pattern which I've made last year but didn't have the chance to publish it (I was sewing the block and ran out of tangerine fabric; by the time I got one from Etsy seller (that was the only place it was still available; no chance to buy this particular in Germany), the Halloween was long gone).
The Tarantula PP pattern is a very difficult block, I'd say for those who have their share of experience with paper piecing. There are many small part to sew together, but the effect is worth all the work put in it:
Skonczylam przygotowywac wzor tarantuli, a skoro Halloween juz niedlugo, to do postu dolaczylam tez blok dyniowy :) Przygotowalam go juz w ubieglym roku, ale nie mialam okazji go pokazac. Chcialam go opublikowac razem z uszytym blokiem, a jak na zlosc, zabraklo mi materialu zeby go uszyc do konca. Zanim material dotarl ze Stanow, Halloween juz dawno minelo, a wzor doczekal 2014:

ReplyDeleteThey are both amazing! I think the Jack-O-Lantern is the one I would pick. Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteOch Joasiu !
ReplyDeleteWhile your Jack-O-Lantern pattern is fantastic, I think I would like the spider! It is just wonderful and I would like the challenge of paper piecing it. Thank you so much for sharing your talent!

ReplyDeleteThe Jack O Lantern is really "wicked"!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the jack 'o latern, but my boys have claimed that I'm making them a spider!
ReplyDeleteI adore the Jack o'Lantern piece, but my October birthday girl would love the spider. So either would be nice but I still prefer the wicked pumpkin!
ReplyDeleteMy nephew would love the tarantula, but it would be a challenge in more ways than one.
ReplyDeleteI like that grinning Jack-O-Lantern.
ReplyDeleteTarantula for sure! I love a pp pattern that challenges me!

Wybrałabym pająka i uczyłam mężowi poduszkę na pocieszenie, on uwielbia tarantule a swoją ulubienicę niedawno stracił.
ReplyDeleteTarantula! They are both wonderful designs but I would prefer Mr. T- he's awesome. I like bug designs of all kinds but he is very unique.
ReplyDeleteI would pick up the spider! Wow!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day!

ReplyDeleteThe spider is spectacular! I would love to try making it. Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteAs much as I love spiders (not!), I would pick the Jack O Lantern. Both are great ideas for Halloween, but I'm partial to pumpkins.
