Raw egde applique - WOLF miniquilt

I decide to try something new... again ;) I like challanges.

Once while reading some blog I spotted a miniquilt made with a raw egde applique technique. It wasn't simply sewing some flowers on top of the white fabric, but instead, it looked like a painting.

I wanted to try if I can create something myself :)

And here it is...

my

Wolf mini(micro)-quilt

I used bondaweb fliseline to do it and after placing all peaces of fabric on their places, I quilted the wolf.

The frames around the wolf and the back are in different shades of brown. For me it looks a little bit like a wooden frame :)

Hope you like it :)
I have to say I'm especially proud of this one ^.^

  6. It really does look like a piece of fine art! I like how you gave the wolf fur texture with the quilting and the 'frame' really finished it off too!! Will you tell us more about how to do this? I can see wanting to try this!

  10. I like it!
Huge amount of work put in it-the smaller - the more difficult. The view and idea of the wolf's 'face' seems to be really original and different:-)I like the colouristics too.
