Embroidered christmas ornaments and quilted table runner

For those who would like to adopt Edward the Bat, step by and join my

Something new today. You don't think that I sit at home and don't do anything (read: sew like crazy) there...

I did some embroidered christmas ornaments. As I'm always a little bit late than the others, I will not have many of them (they are quite time consuming), but as an addition to some christmas gift/card they will do. I do not plan to hang them on the christmas tree really, cause my cats would eat them (not mentioning that I don't have a christmas tree at all... :P ).

To make them, I use my best felt with 60% of wool which is dyed with natural plant dyes. This felt is amazing. Love those rich earth colours - deep greens and blues, dirty orange and dark red... ^.^

I also did a table runner for a swap which I signed myself to quite a while ago. It will start it's trip to Australia on Saturday :) I hope my swap partner will be happy...

I didn't have a great idea for the back, so I just decided to keep it solid and dark - to make quilting more visible:

Hugs :)
