Just wanted to share with you today the announcement of the NYC MOD quilters about the Double Wedding Ring Quilt Challenge!
NYC MOD Quilt Guild has partnered with EZ Quilting/Simplicity, Interweave and Juki to Use the Double wedding ring template/or pattern. You can create a project, then enter it to win amazing prizes from our sponsors! It's like last year's Dresden Challenge, but this time is DWR templates.
This is a challenge FOR EVERYONE. There will be 3 categories: small, traditional and modern. I have to admit that until now I haven't sewn even a single DWR block. I guess the challenge is a good opportunity to give it a try!
There are some amazing sponsors who have donated the prizes! See below for the list of goodies!
How to enter?
The deadline is Dec 1st 2013 and you will find all the details about the cathegories, judges and prizes HERE.

ReplyDeleteHi Joanna,
ReplyDeleteI love the traditional pattern of the DWR- I have never made the pieced arc but have made the continuous arc quilt. The templates make it so much easier to be accurate which is important if you are going to get this quilt to fit together and lay flat. Thanks for participating in the blog hop and for the chance to win the templates.
Warmest regards,
Anna
I would love to try to make a DWR quilt using these templates. Thanks for the chance to win a set.
ReplyDeleteYou have a lovely clear blog, I would love this set of rulers to get me started.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of the arcs being made out of a single piece of fabric. I have 4 big plastic tubs full of hand dyed fabrics and could imagine using some of those in a DWR - the fabrics would link it to the contemporary, and the design would link it to the traditional.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the opportunity to win! Now I'm off to have a look at the rest of your blog.
I'm taking the plunge and joining the challenge. Planning a quilt for my daughter's wedding in October.
ReplyDeleteDWR challenge looks like fun! Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to give this a o :) I've never made one but it sure looks like fun!
ReplyDeleteI've only ever sewn improv curves, so I'm a little intimidated. That said, it looks like so much fun. I love working with traditional patterns, you learn so much.
ReplyDeleteTemplates would be great to make the DWR. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteOh, these could be great fun to use! Enjoyed seeing the Dresden plates last year, and these should be terrific too!
ReplyDeleteIt's been a while since I've made a "traditional" quilt. This would be fun to do.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the opportunity to win. I would love to make a double wedding ring quilt.
ReplyDeleteIt would be a fun challenge to make a double wedding ring. Thank you!
