Vespa scooter paper piecing pattern finished

I designed it long ago. I just didin't have time to finish it and sew a quilt block. Today I did it :D

Inspired by photos of Vespa like this one:

 My new Paper Piecing pattern

'Scooty Patootie'

When last time I showed you the preview of my new patterns  I asked for the name for them. I promised, that if I choose a name which one of you proposed I will send  a free PP pattern to this person.
Megs from monkey beans invented 'Scooty Patootie' :D Megs, I will contact you in a while and send you the pattern. Thank you for the great idea for the name!

I'm currently waiting for the next fabric which I ordered and which would perfectly fit for the scooter block:

Now We're Goin Places by Monica Lee for Timeless Treasures

I plan to make a pillow with a scooter PP block in the center and those fabric for borders. A tote with scooter would also look cute I think :)

EDIT: The scooter was featured on Craftzine.com!!! Yay!

What you would sew with such a quilt block? Any ideas?

  4. I came here via Craftzine and I love this! I like this as a plain wall hanging or on a bag. I think it would be a very cute messenger style bag.

  10. I love the scooter. I have a Vespa that's sat unused in my garage a few years. I think the reality of having kids is that I won't use it again until they're in school...maybe high school? Maybe I can make a quilt block in memorium!
